Alyse is 1!!!

Sweet Baby! I kept thinking that if I just ignored the fact that your birthday was coming it would just go away and I could keep you as my baby just a little longer. That didn't work the day came and you turned 1! You really weren't sure about all the attention that this day brought you. I kept busy over the day getting ready for a small gathering of family (which turned into a larger gathering our dear friends the Gunns joined in us) to help us celebrate. After we all had dinner we started the celebration.
You really weren't a fan of the gifts. I think it was because everyone was sitting in a circle around you all saying tear it open, open mine first. I think you were a little nervous. After you opened two of them you crawled right out of that circle and took cover. No worries we didn't put you back in and make you open more we decided to put a cake in front of you.

However you didn't mind everyone watching this time you just wanted to eat some of that yummy cake. I'm sorry that the frosting was so hard to penetrate. I don't think you made it to the cake it's self. You did enjoy this. I loved it when you got so excited that you would scream and try to grab a hand full of cake. It was really cute.

After the party was over I really didn't want to put you to bed because that would be that, you would no longer be a baby you would now be a toddler. I broke down and cryed. Lucky for me Mike took the other kids and put them to bed. I just sat in the rocking chair rocking you and crying. I love you baby girl you will always be my baby.

All Aboard

All Aboard!
Ella is now a Big Girl! We told her if she used the potty all the time we would go ride on a real train. It wasn't easy but she did it! Ella loves trains anytime we are in the car we have to look for trains or if she hears one she gets really excited also. This was the perfect reward for her.
All the kids thought the train was pretty cool. I think that Alyse just might have had the most fun. She would stand up and look out the window then she would sit back down by her sister, she would do this over and over again with a smile from ear to ear.

We road the train to a pumpkin patch were the kids each got to pick a pumpkin.

Then they got to decorate their pumpkins.

After the hot chocolate and cookies we took a wagon ride. Alyse loved it, I think Adelynn was tired. When the wagon ride was done we boarded the train to head back to the train station.
We were so lucky to have Grandpa Fell with us. He to also loves trains so I think it was fun for him.

Family Pictures

I love getting new family pictures every year. I know it's a pain to get everyone ready and looking their best, but when it's all said and done I'm so happy!

This one of all four girls playing in the leaves is one I will treasure for a long time.

Here are my favorites of each of my girls.

This one of Alyse and Mike I think will stay in a frame for the rest of time. I put when in her room and one on Mike's night stand.

I Saw Her Standing There

Alyse did it she walked!!! I knew this day was coming, but I don't think I was truly prepared for it. Yes, I cried for about 15 minutes. But on that note I'm so proud of Alyse, she is getting so big and growing up oh so fast.
She has loved for me to walk her around the house holding her hand so it was only a matter of time before she would take off. Today she was standing there and it was like it just clicked. It was so cute! She would stand there just a screaming for a minute or two then she took a step and would fall. I would stand her back up and she would start all over again, with the standing and screaming and a step. After trying this for about five minutes she took off with about three steps. I ran and got the video camera down and she did it again this time a few more steps. Half hour later when Mike got home from work and I had pulled myself together she was cruising with about 6 or more steps.
Now I think I understand why the youngest child in the family is babied by the mom. It's hard to let go of each little milestone because they grow up so fast, I just want to hold on and remember each and every moment.
As hard as it is Alyse to let you out of my arms to walk I really am proud of you! Of all the girls you have crawled and walked sooner then your sisters.

Pumpkin Patch

Our pumpkin patch this year grew some crazy big pumpkins! I'm so excited to cute one open and put the little ones in it and take their picture.
The girls don't want to sell any of them this year they decided that they are keeping all 6 large pumpkins.
I will keep you posted on if we have to use the saw to carve them.

Sundance

One of my favorite things about fall is going to Sundance and riding the ski lift to the top of the mountain and enjoying all the beautiful fall colors.
After church we decided to head up the canyon to ride the ski lift and have a picnic lunch. We went with our friends the Gregory's. We enjoyed the warm weather and all the fun fall colors.
We took the ski lift to the top of the mountain and walked around and took pictures. I'm glad we went up when we did, I think this is the first year we weren't freezing.
