Merry Christmas

The girls all had a wonderful Christmas. They must have been good because they got everything they wanted and more.
We have truly been blessed over the year. We are so thankful for Jesus and what he did for us. We are thankful for the gospel in our lives and how much it has changed us. Not just Mike and I but our family has also been blessed from it.
I have enjoyed the spirit of giving this year and I hope it stays with me and my family through out the up coming year.
We have enjoyed spending time with family and friends over the holidays. I was so happy that my Dad was able to come down even just for a half a day so he too could see the light in the little girls faces and I wish my Mom could have joined us, she is truly missed.
I picked this picture to sum up Christmas because I love how they are all playing together.
Merry Christmas!

Christmas Eve

I love having little kids especially over the holidays. Our house has been bursting with excitement for about a month and the Christmas count down has finally come to a end. The girls can hardly wait for Santa to come tonight. We finally had time to decorated our gingerbread house. Then we watched a Muppet's Christmas Carol. This movie is a favorite sense I was a little girl. We used to watch it on Christmas Eve. This helped pass time for the little ones.

Finally it was time for the party to start. We had my little brother and his family over. Mikes brother Mark and his family, and his sister Tiffany and her family. Mikes parents also came. We had a big turkey dinner. Then we played some fun games.

The kids got to open gifts from their Aunt Tiffany. She made them all matching aprons. I thought they were so cute. Look how little Alyse's is. Then they opened a gift from their Grandma and Grandpa Avertte.

After all the guest left the girls got to open one gift from Mike and I, yes they were pj's. The big girls have been dieing for pj's with feet in them like the little girls have. I found some. They were supper excited.

Run, Run Rudolph

We kicked of our one crazy month by visiting Santa. This is one of my most favorite things to do. The picture I have is darling but I couldn't get my scanner to talk to my computer. Surprise I couldn't figure something out. So you will just have to use your imagination. They were all dressed in pink, another big surprise. Adelynn was the first to talk to him. She asked Santa for Zuh Zuh pets and their house. Ella was next and she just cuddled right into Santa and asked him for a dancing Mickey. Now at this moment my heart melted it was so cute. Then Santa asked her if she had been a good girl and she said "Well today". I thought that was so so cute also. Next Nyah went she kind of stud back just looking at Santa. Santa said you look like you are trying to figure this all out, then he pulled her up on his lap and asked her what she wanted. Nyah told him that she wanted a bike. Then he asked is there anything else. She then replied "a bag of earrings". Santa says a bag of earrings? You mean like a satchel? I thought it was funny. Alyse didn't mind sitting on his lap for one quick picture. Oh no tires, and all the girls were thrilled to have their list in to the big man in red.
That fallowing Monday we went with our neighbors the Gunns to a live nativity. I thought this was so neat it really brought the spirit of Christmas to our family. The girls loved the real camels. Nyah and I even chocked up when we saw baby Jesus.

Over the next few weeks we ran all over town getting our last minute shopping done and seeing the little girls in all their performances. This is Adelynn at her Christmas dance performance. It was so darling. I think Adelynn enjoyed performing. She just got up there and danced her little heart out. There was a few times she even made up her own dance. I loved it. I thought she was so cute up there. Nyah too had several little dance performances over the week.

We were so lucky to have some visitors. My cousin Rebecca and her husband and their three little boys came and stayed the night at our house. My girls had so much fun with her boys. I really wish we lived closer so they could play together more.

Then there is the annual school Christmas sing. Every year this is a favorite. The little girls just sang their little hearts out. I enjoyed every minute of it.

The big girls enjoyed there Christmas parties at school that ended the year. This year they have two full weeks off of school. I have really been enjoying this. Me and the girls have been sleeping in and enjoyed not having to do anything if we don't want to.

Saturday the 20th Nyah played in her first piano recital. She did so good. She played Jingle Bells. Not only did she play so so well she looked like a million dollars up there playing on that baby grand. I'm so proud of her she only started taking in September and she is playing songs with three notes at a time.

Christmas dresses is one of my favorite things about Christmas. Getting my little ladies all dolled up. Yes I do realize that they are not all twins, but how can you pass up on dressing them all in this.

Happy Thanksgiving

Our little turkey!
Mike and I decided to host Thanksgiving at our house this year so we could be with both sides of the family. Plans didn't work out as perfectly as I had hopped, my parents weren't able to make it and I was really excited to have them. I really wanted my mom to come. However by the time they had decided that they weren't going to be able to make it, it was to late to change our plans and head to Idaho. We missed them.
The feast did go on. Ella discovered that she loves olives and that they fit on your figures.

We set up the house so the kids were in the kitchen so if they spilled no big deal and we could have a nice dinner with the adults. I think the kids table turned out great. My friend Kelly helped me make these darling turkeys for the seating.

We had a full house (Mikes parents, his sister Tiffany and her family, his brother Mark and his family, one of Mikes friends, and my brother Eric and his family). We had a great day with supper yummy food and lots of laughs with family.

We have so much to be thankful for. I feel like I am truly blessed each and ever day and with out Mike I wouldn't have any of the wonderful blessing in my life. A great husband who loves and cares for me and my four beautiful girls! We are all healthy!! We also have countless other blessing. Thanks for another wonderful year full of blessings.

Double Take

There are times that Alyse walks by and I still do a double take, it's crazy to look up and see her go cruising by. She is getting so good at her walking that she is now trying to run.

Deck the Halls

Mike had a nice surprise for us. This morning before church he asked if we wanted to get out the Christmas tree. At first I was speechless, this is the guy that I have to beg and make crazy deals with just to get out the Christmas stuff let alone the tree (he HATES the 12 foot tree)! I was so excited, and all the girls screamed with delight. Mike said he was going to try this year not to be a Scrooge. I got to say I like this new out look. So I told him to turn around I was taking a picture of my Christmas miracle.

The girls had so much fun playing in the large Christmas tree boxes, Alyse even joined in.

I found the girls looking at ads under the Christmas tree I thought it was so cute I had to run and grab my camera.
Adelynn has been working on her list sense the toys r us catalog arrived just before Halloween. Ever time a new toy catalog comes she up dates her list. The other day she came home from school and was showing me what she had done in class. One of the worksheets was a plate and they had cut out pictures of food from ads and put healthy things on one side and unhealthy things on the other. I told her what a great job she did. Then she pulls out of her pocket a little neatly folded picture. I said whats that. She unfolded it and said mom I want these zhu zhu pets for Christmas. I had to try so hard not to laugh. She is just so dang cute.

Big Girl Bed

My little Ella Bell got a big girl bed today. She loves it. My friend Tori made the darling picture over her bed. I love it! Ella says it's her flying. She has gotten so big lately. It was nice to be down to only one crib. Mike asked if I was going to be happy to be done with all the cribs? I said no I'm sure Alyse will be coming to me at the age of 12 saying mom I think I'm ready to move to a bed and I will be the one not ready to let go.
Happy big girl room Ella.

Swan Lake

Nyah danced in her annual fall ballet. She danced from a piece of music from Swan Lake.
We thought Nyah did a beautiful job. She is a very graceful dancer.
