Ding Dong the Snagle Tooth is Gone!

I can't even begin to explain how happy I am that the snagle tooth is gone! For about a month now Nyah's top front tooth as been really loose and longer then the other teeth and at a slant more or less just flopping in the breeze. Every time I looked at her that's all I saw was this crazy tooth. Nyah will wiggle it just a little here and there but she gets all nervous about actually pulling out a tooth so this month has been very dramatic. So today was a big day. I think her mouth just more or less kicked the tooth out. Now I think I can take her seriously again.

Happy Birthday Mike

Our good friends Troy and Kelly made Mike this white trash birthday cake it was so funny.
For Mikes birthday he went hunting in Colorado. We hope he gets a great deer soon so he can come home. Happy Birthday Mike! Here are a few things the kids said about you on your birthday.
How old is Daddy? Adelynn said "4".
Nyah said "18".
What did Daddy want for his birthday? Adelynn said "cake"
Nyah said "To go hunting"
What do you love most about Daddy? Adelynn said "I love him and kiss him"
Nyah said "That he helps me"
Thank you Mike for all you do for us girls. We sure love you!

First Day of First Grade

Today was Nyah's first day of First Grade! I can't believe she is already old enough to be in First Grade, man time is sure flying by. I think I would have been more emotional if Nyah hadn't been so nervous. I was trying my best to keep it together for her. After I dropped off my little deer in headlights I started to think I hope she is ok at lunch she seems so small to be doing all that all by herself. I was almost in tears thinking about all the things that could happen to her. After a long day with out our little Nyah (the other girls really missed having her around to play with) I picked her up from school and she loved it! She hasn't stopped talking about all the fun she had and all the different things they did. I'm so happy all went well.

My big First Grader!

Last Day of Summer Vacation

We are so excited Mike got his Deer! He got a great 3 x 4 so we were excited that he made it home last night. Oh was he missed! I would have to say Ella takes the cake for missing him the most. She has been packing around a picture of her Dad sense Saturday saying Da Da. going up to everyone and showing them the picture and telling them Da Da. I think it might be her way of say have you seen this man I have lost him. She is too cute. We are also excited that he got to celebrate the last day of "Summer" with us. Goodbye Summer. We are sad it's coming to a end. Nyah starts school tomorrow. We asked the kids what they wanted to do today. They threw out some different ideas and then Nyah decided that she really wanted to go to the Discovery Gateway then after that she wanted to play in the water that they have at the Gateway.
The kids had so much fun with everything they had to offer there. Ella loved the fake horse! She cried when we made her get off because other kids were waiting to climb on.

Nyah and Adelynn loved the little store I think they spent most of their time shopping and shopping again.

We finally had to tell the kids ok 5 min. As we were heading for the water Mike got a call saying his parents were broken down in Malad and need his help. So we cute the outing short. Nyah was only sad tell we bought her a milkshake for lunch. Hummm sounds just like her Mom. When we got home I let the kids run threw the sprinkler. It was a great day to end summer brake.

Nyah First Soccer Game of the Year

Nyah was a little nervouse to have her first soccer game of the year. Due to weather they have only practice once before the big game. Nyah did great! She even kicked a goal! At first I wasn't sure if it was her because legs were flying everywere but then when I saw her face I knew it was her. Great job Nyah keep up the fancy feet work.

Boating for Family Night

Aunt Tiffany was down from Idaho her and her kids wanted to go boating. We decided for family night that we would all go out on the boat. Mark and Melanie and their kids also came. We had a great time.

There was lots of bathing beauties.

Wild tube rides. Not just for Aunt Tiffany and Melanie but the kids had a couple of wild rides too. We are thinking the the tube is not holding air like it once did. We might have to retire the tube after this summer.

Melanie, Issac, and Tiffany

And of course there was wake boarding. Ella loved to watch her Dad out there doing tricks. She was clapping and making noises for him.

Oquirrh Mountain Temple

We have been so blessed to be able to take the kids to another Temple open house. I think it's great to get to show them were Mom and Dad go and get them excited to live their lives so they too can attend the Temple some day. The Oquirrh Mountain Temple was beautiful. I even loved the view from the outside.

Silver Lake

July 25 we headed up American Fork Canyon to Silver Lake to fish and roast hot dogs. We were joined by great friends the Gregorys and the Bagleys. The kids had so much fun playing in the water and catching fish.

I think each kid caught a fish and then some.

Adelynn is not afraid to hold and touch a fish but a fuzzy makes her go crazy with fear.

Ella got as dirty as possible and loved every minute of it.

July 24

Mike and Troy Gregory entered a 24th of July 10k. This was their first 10k for the both of them. They did really well. Mike finished it in 48 min.and some sec. From what everyone was saying it was a pretty hard 10k. Wow! Go Mike!

They also had a kid race. Nyah did great! She took second!

There was also lots of fun things for the family to do. Adelynn and Nyah both got their faces painted. Oh Adelynn so cute.

After the race we decided the best way to cool down was to take the boat out. We went with some of our friends, the Gregorys and the Bagleys. We had so much fun. Nyah got out on the kids water skies and kick some butt. She got up on her first try and held on for awhile.
Way to go Nyah!

Even Ella enjoyed cooling off in the water.

Thanks Gregorys and Bagleys for making our 24th so much fun.

I think by far the favorite thing for the kids is the tube rides. It's funny this year the kids are wanting to go fast in the tube and catch just a little air. Last year they liked it slow and smooth.

Dad's Running Buddy

Mikes got a new running buddy. On July 18, 2009 Mike entered the 5k in American Fork Steel Days. Mike told Nyah about the kids 1/2 mile. Nyah was excited and up for the challenge. She loves being just like her Dad. She has been wanting to go running with him at nights so this was just what she was waiting for. Mike ran his race great! He took 4th in his age group.

Nyah was a little nervous for her first race, they told Mike that he could run with her. She did Great! Nyah set her pace and didn't stop or slow down. She was amazing! It gave me goosebumps and almost brought tears to my eyes to see her finish. Mike and I were so proud of her. She is such a strong willed person.

Nyah took 3rd in her age group! This is her first trophy. Just think how fast she is going to be when we train her for it. Look out next year.
