Back to School

This is the first year that I was kind of glad that the kids were going back to school. But then the day came and I have to say I wish it was summer again.
The girls were both super excited about their new classes and teachers. They were a little on the nervous side but not to bad.
Nyah had a great first day! The newness wore off after the first week Nyah called me twice the second week of school. I told her to be strong and school would be out soon. Now I think she is doing great she is in the swing of things she has friends in her class and loves her teacher. Fingers crossed for no more calls.
Adelynn was spreading her sun shine and jokes all over class before the first week was up. Her tall tails made her morning teacher think that she had forgotten her birthday and she was feeling really bad when her afternoon teacher a neighbor and good friend of ours laughed and told her not to worry it was not Adelynns birthday. This was just one of Adelynn's tall tails. Her second week of school was so long for her also. She also called home twice. Now she is in the swing of things and is loving school.

Happy Birthday Mom

The girls and I took a trip to Idaho for Grandma Fells birthday. We had the best time. Not only did we get to spend tons of time visiting my Mom and Dad our days were packed full of fun. Thursday when we got their we surprised Grandma Fell with our visit and the look on her face made it worth the 3 1/2 hour car ride with screaming crazy kids. It was so nice to see her and be able to be with her. There is nothing like being next to your mom. I still love to cuddle up next to her I feel so safe and so special like there is nothing in the world that could hurt me. That night the girls stayed with Grandpa Fell and I got to go out to dinner with my Aunt Kim and Susan and also my cousins Megan and Rebbecca. We had a great time.
Friday went back and forth with plans but I was happy with how it turned out. We saw my Mom in the morning then headed over to Leo's (a kid friendly restaurant they have a huge area for the kids to play) with my Dad, little brother, and his kids. The kids had so much fun. They played tell they were all sweaty. Then the kids and I headed to Rigby were we meet my cousin Rebbecca and her kids and Megan and her little boy at Rigby Lake. The kids had so much fun playing in the water and sand. They made a sand village and the little kids walked threw it like they were King Kong they destroyed it in no time. I'm glad the big kids were ok with it. From the lake we headed over to Grandma and Grandpa Roberts house were we had a BBQ with my Moms family. It was so nice to see all my Aunts and Uncles and cousins. I hardly ever get to see everyone so it was so nice of my Grandparents to put the BBQ together. I love my family and miss them tons I wish I lived closer so I could enjoy them more.
We started Saturday off by visiting my mother-in-law it was also her birthday. The girls and I had a nice visit with her. Then we were off to my little brothers baby's first birthday party. After the party we went and visited my Mom again. It's been nice to spend time with her.
I'm glad we took our little trip to Idaho it was full of fun memories. Happy Birthday Mom, Love you!

Relaxing Sundays

I love Sundays when it's nice outside and we take a trip up the canyon. I love the picture of Adelynn hugging the tree because Mike and I have decided that she is going to be our little hippie. Which is something that I love about Adelynn her free spirit and the fact that she doesn't fish she just walks around picking flowers. It reminds me of when I was a little girl. So when she hugged the tree I had to take a picture for Mike.
Picnic outside. I wish summer would last forever. The girls love it when we do picnics.
All my kids love watermelon.
We went up the canyon with our friends the Gregory's. This is a picture of Adelynn and Mykla saving a warm from being fished with. However I'm sure by the time the girls got done playing with him that poor warm was probably wishing it was on a fishing pole.
Ella just being cute enjoying the outdoors.
Mike trying to teach Alyse how to threw a football.

What Really Happens with a Sitter

I thought this was hilarious! I was looking threw my camera and I thought what are these I never took them. I noticed the date oh I had a sitter so this is what they do when I'm not home. Thank you Nyah or Adelynn for these great pictures.
I guess the sitter is funner then me I don't let them slide down the stairs.

Adelynn is 6!

Happy Birthday Adelynn! I can't believe you are already 6! I love you and your sweet personality so much. You make me smile. Your bring so much joy to my sole. You are a breath of fresh air.
I really enjoyed shopping for your birthday outfit with you. I loved how you ran around the store looking at all your options and in the end it was the toys at the register that you wanted.
This year you told me that you wanted a pet shop birthday cake that was pink. I think I did pretty good. I also think that by the time you turn 16 I will be a professional (I hope).
After dinner at a pizza place, the party finally began. You took a deep breath and blew out all your candles! I think your wish came true? You made me laugh because I asked you what you wanted for your birthday and all you would say is squinkies. Easy enough. This toy is right up your alley, they are small, they have princess ones, and animals. I thought perfect I got you a couple different kinds then I threw in one new barbie just because you play them everyday with your sisters. Thank heavens I did that. After you opened your squinkies you said that all I get is squinkies? Lucky for me I threw in that barbie. You were happy you loved everything and began playing with everything and not sharing because they were special to you.. After your party you even cleaned up. You are so sweet.

I love you my sweet Adelynn I hope you had a fabulous birthday!

Monkeys at the Zoo

This picture is hilarious to me. This is proof that Ella loves her big sisters and will do what ever they do. Nyah wanted to see the snake so of course Adelynn and Ella wanted to as well. However I don't think Ella really wanted to see the snake and she is the one that is the closest to it.
The girls were so excited how close the giraffe got to them. I too remember a time when I was little and was so excited that the giraffe was close to me and my family and then the giraffe sneezed. My family and I were covered in snot. I told the girls this story and they laughed and laughed. Lucky for us there was no sneezing today.
The zoo now has these fake dinosaurs that move and make noises. Alyse loved them, she would growl right back at them. You could always tell when Alyse saw the animal in the cage because she would start running in place and screaming. She loved everything it was oh so cute.

Nyah's favorite animal at the zoo is a zebra but we didn't see one. Adelynn loved the elephants, there was even a baby one. Ella loved the monkeys, she wanted to swing in the trees with them.
They all loved the merry-go-round, even Makayla.

Idaho, 4th of July Weekend

We headed to Idaho for our annual 4th of July adventure. I wasn't sure if we were going to make it this year. All of our friends that normally join us couldn't this year. We decided to go any way and I'm sure glad we did. We started our vacation with the largest hamburgers ever! Big Jud's is a dinner just out of Rexburg Idaho that sales these large hamburgers. I have been trying to get Mike to go for years and Big Jud's was on a show called Man vs Food and Mike happened to see that episode so with that said I think we all had so much fun that I'm sure we will be back.
We spent one of the days in Idaho up at Island Park, which is the Hampton's of Idaho. Everyone had so much fun! Mike spent the day fishing with his cousins husband Brad.
The girls road and road the 4wheelers. They played with cousins and enjoyed the outside. I have never seen my girls or Makayla so dirty before!
This was after a day at Island Park everyone fell asleep on the way back to the Hotel.
On the 4th of July Mike and I kicked it off by running the Firecracker 5k. Mike pushed me I finished it in under 30 minutes and to me that was so fast. It was a fun race. Mike makes me laugh he was clapping for all the people watching us run. I'm so glad he ran with me, I know it's hard for him to run as slow as I do. Thanks Mike for sticking by me.

My Dad even came to see me run fast. I was so excited to have a supporter. He is my first fan! Thanks Dad. This is me after the race that's why my face is so red.

I love the 4th of July! I still have to coordinate my kids to all match and look Makayla looks like she even fits in. We had a great day. We walked around down by the river, then we headed back to the hotel for swimming and Fireworks! The kids loved them, I'm so glad that none of my kids are scared of the fireworks.

Happy 4th of July!

Little Home Runner

Adelynn's friend Mykla, was going to play t-ball so she asked if Adelynn would like to play it with her. I said yes and signed her up. Adelynn is so funny because one day she would be all excited to play then the next she would start crying and say I don't want to play t-ball. Mike went to the store and got her a bat, glove, and balls so they could practice at home. Finally it came time for her first game she cried and cried and said that she did not want to play t-ball. We calmed her down and she went to the game and she loved it! She couldn't wait tell the next game. Now that the season is over and they are playing their last game she is now asking me is she can play it again.
Swing Adelynn!

Summer Fun

The month of June has kicked of a summer of fun. The girls have already gone swimming a few times, they all love the water!

Our niece Makayla (Paul and Mechelle's daughter, they live in California) came to stay with us for part of the summer. We are really enjoying our time with her. The girls sure look up to her.

Ella learned to ride her bike. Alyse saw me giving her a push to get started so now she fallows her around so when she stops she can give her a push to get going again.

The girls including Nyah's friend Halli enjoyed Lehi round up days. Mike took the girls to the rodeo. They had so much fun. They loved it! Mike and I ran the 10k. This was the furthest I had ever ran. I did it! It was easy for Mike, he pushed the little girls in the double jogging stroller. He was great he staid with me the whole time. He is a great running coach.

We even enjoyed a Owls game with our friends the Gregory's.

Fishing

Mike has been addicted to fishing over the past few weeks. I don't mind going and watching the kids get excited when they catch a fish. But when I took this picture of Ella and Mike, I thought this has made it worth sitting for hours. Priceless!

Nyah's Baptism Pictures

It took awhile to get these amazing pictures but it was worth the wait. I really wanted the pictures done outside with all the spring flowers but then it wouldn't stop raining. We had to reschedule the pictures three times.
Nyah you are so beautiful not only on the outside but the inside too. You are such a sweet person.
Your Dad and I are so proud of the choice you made to be baptized and become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints.
You are such a great big sister! Your sisters watch you all the time they want to be just like you.
