Nyah's Dance Competition

Nyah had a dance competition today she did great. They performed three dances, their hip hop one (I recorded it with my camera and it's not a good recording but I just love the dance), jazz and a tap dance. I really enjoyed watching Nyah dance. I don't get to sit at the studio and watch her practice any more. It's to hard to take the little ones down to the studio.

Even know Nyah really enjoys performing I still got butterflies for her when she came onto the stage.

Mike and I were so proud of how good she did today.

Nyah's 7 Year Pictures

Alyse is 6 months Old

I can hardly believe my math is correct that Alyse is 6 months old.

I love this picture of her sitting in the chair she looks like a little old lady without her teeth in. I also love how any time she sees those little toes she has to grab them.

Now this is something new that Alyse just started doing... sucking on her finger. Sure it looks cute but I've already had to wing a thumb sucker and its not easy I really don't want to do it again.

Just look at that sweet face! I just want to kiss it. Alyse we sure love you! You have brought so much joy to our home with your sweet little spirit.

Sunshine!

The perfect day! The sun was shining, it wasn't to hot, it wasn't to cold and no wind! We took advantage of this. My friend Kelly and her little girl invited us to go to the Farm at Thanksgiving Point. We had a great time. The kids loved seeing the animals. Ella kept trying to climb in the cage with the animals. I think the highlight was riding the ponies.

Let the games begin

Nyah and Adelynn just started spring soccer. Here is just a overview of how the first games turned out. Nyah had a ball she didn't want to sit out and she was so aggressive she hurt a little girl on the other team. She missed a goal by a hair. All in all I think she will have a great season. Now Adelynn hummm, she is so sweet and sensitive that she got out there kicked the ball started crying and that was the end of it. We hope she will play her next game. :)

Happy Birthday Nyah

Happy Birthday Nyah! Where does the time go? How is it that you are already 7!

This year it was Nyah's magical birthday, she turned 7 on the 7th so we have been partying all week long. We started off by going to Target Nyah wanted to pick a toy out, she got Birthday money from Grandma and Grandpa Averett and her Aunt and Uncle. Yes I was brave I took all four kids to the store. Nyah made me laugh looking at everything weighing out her options. She finally decided on a barbie and barbie clothes.

After lunch Nyah, Adelynn, Halle (Nyah's BFF) and I went and got pedicures. Ella showed up late with Mike to get her nails painted.

After our pedicures we meet up with Mike and Alyse and went to Pier 49 Pizza for dinner. After dinner we headed home to sing, open gifts and have cake and ice cream.

I love to watch kids open gifts, they have the best happy and surprise faces.


Alyse even had fun at the party she couldn't get enough of the balloons.

Fun Facts from Nyah's Birthday:
On April 2, the Friday before spring break they celebrated Nyah's birthday at school. Her teacher had me bring in a poster about Nyah and a treat. After Nyah and I talked about her poster which was pictures of her and her favorite things. Her teacher took a moment to talk about Nyah and I think she gave her the ultimate comment that one can receive, Mrs. Goettsche told the class that "Nyah is beautiful on the inside and out". i just thought that was so sweet and I agree with her.

Last night when Nyah was getting ready for bed she started to cry. I said whats wrong Nyah she told me she didn't want to grow any bigger while she was sleeping. I thought that was really cute that just because she was turning 7 she was going to automatically be bigger in the morning.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter! The Easter Bunny visited our house this year.

As always the baskets were hidden I must say Nyah's are getting harder to find. It took her awhile to find it this year.

There was even more excitement this year because the cousins were here and it had snowed the night before. Around ten all of Mike's family came over for brunch. Then the kids had a Easter Egg hunt, we still kept it outside most of the snow had melted by the time we had the egg hunt.

Dinner was rushed do to the fact that a storm was coming in and everyone had to travel home. With a blink of the eye everyone was gone and the house was quite. I was exhausted! All in all it was a crazy fun week.

Nyah's Fancy Nancy Party

Mike's sister Mechelle and her kids spent their Spring Break with us. We had so much fun seeing everyone. It's been almost three years sense we have seen the little ones and they have grown up so much. While Mechelle and her kids were in town we thought it would be fun to have a early Birthday party for Nyah. So we put Mechelle to work, (she owns a cake business called Shelly Belly Cakes) the cake turned out AWESOME! Nyah was more then thrilled with her cake.

Thank you so much Mechelle for bringing Nyah party to life. Mechelle also made the girls some cute tutus. She dressed all the girls up and put on fun sparkly eye makeup.

This is the first time all the girls have been together for a girly birthday party and they all had fun from Makayla 14 down to Alyse 5 months. (Even the boys enjoyed the cake!)
